Luna Moth

This is a moth that lived on my front porch for about three days. Funny story about that moth. It attacked my mom by flying into her hair thinking that it was a light (my mom's hair is like, super blonde and it was reflecting off of the actual light) Once we escaped into the confines of our own domain, it fluttered in and began ferociously attacking the mirror, we then trapped it under a Ziploc container and let it out outside. I've never seen one up close before, so this was pretty exciting. Is it sad that the only way I know what that moth is called is from a commercial? I watch too much TV.
